Vierne: Carillon de Westminster

Louis Vierne's "Carillon de Westminster" is inspired by the famous chime melody heard every quarter hour from Westminster Palace. From the "24 Fantasy Pieces," Vierne's piece was published in 1927 and is among his most popular organ works.

This performance was from a virtual mini-festival celebrating the 150th anniversary of Vierne's birth, organized and performed by Christopher Houlihan on October 8, 2020. This concert was recorded at Trinity College Chapel, and features the college's 1971 Austin Organs, Inc.
