Final from Vierne's Fourth Symphony
The Final from Vierne's Fourth Symphony is one of his most virtuosic and least performed works for organ. The symphony was composed in 1914 during a particularly dark period of Vierne's life.
This performance was from a virtual mini-festival celebrating the 150th anniversary of Vierne's birth, organized and performed by Christopher Houlihan on October 8, 2020. This concert was recorded at Trinity College Chapel and features the college's 1971 Austin Organs, Inc.
